When I was still working downtown, I used to dread snow days. Not because I don’t like snow — I LOVE snow — but because Seattle shuts down whenever there’s even a dusting of snow on the ground. Seattle is incredibly hilly, so the freezing temperatures turn the city into a combination of a roller coaster plus ice skating rink…which is called a luge track, now that I think of it. But Seattle drivers, on the average, are not skilled lugers.
Now that I’m home with the kids, however, snow days are awesome. Everything slows down, Chris often gets to stay home from work, Cowboy is in his element, and we all get to play outside. Top it off with some hot chocolate, and there’s no better way to spend a winter day!
